Lines & Squares...but No Circles Our final f8 Pasadena Project for 2017 Today was our last meeting for 2017 so to start the meeting we each shared our thoughts about the year gone by. Everybody agreed it was "a very good year" indeed. My hats off to all who contributed to our success. Our project today again displayed the great visual perspectives and intuitions our members have. Below is just one picture from each contributor today. I left them all untitled. Finally we ended the year with a "White Elephant Exchange" of photography among those f8'ers in attendance.
Happy Holidays and a great visual New Year...see you the first Saturday of 2018

“Wherever there is light, one can photograph.” Alfred Stieglitz “Wherever there is Lightroom, one can adjust…and adjust…and adjust” Bill Wishner Today, Paul Dupont brought a guest to f8 Pasadena. George Simian is well known to f8 as both photographer and teacher, He is a well known teacher of Photoshop and Lightroom. His discussion today centered on tips to use Lightroom to improve work flow and improve images with the tools of the program. But first he discussed the differences between the two new versions...Lightroom CC 2018 and Lightroom Classic 2018. Lightroom CC is cloud based program while Classic resides on your computer. George showed various development tools and demonstrated the power of presets. He showed the correction process on a series of pictures. Unfortunately, no samples to include in this post. The 90 minutes flew by as did his demo screens. Each of us carried away some tid-bit of Lightroom gems back to their computers and work flow. He is available for personal instruction...check out his website: http://www.georgesimian.com or by email: [email protected] Please wish me well as I go to Art Basel next week and show my works with some (a lot) of the best photographers in the world. AC Gallery in Hollywood will be representing me in their new bricks and mortar gallery...hopefully from this point I will have Art of the City Wall in LA and Miami on a semi permanent basis. Maybe I can start "f8 Miami Salon" ...see you all in two weeks
